EOS 7D Firmware Update Version 1.0.9

Canon EOS 7D Firmware Version 1.0.9 incorporates the following fixes.

1. Improves AF accuracy during Live View shooting.
2. Corrects a phenomenon where in rare instances, movie images shot by the camera may exhibit abnormal colors.
3. Corrects a phenomenon that at certain timings, the shutter cannot be released when the camera’s built-in flash or an external Speedlite is used for shooting.

Firmware Version 1.0.9 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.8. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.9, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Canon: New Firmware for the EOS 5D Mark II Download

Since its launch in September 2008, this new SLR from Canon has given its users have many problems.

Canon has tried to fix several bugs in the running, releasing several versions of the firmware.

Also added several new features.

To get the most impactful movies, but above all to have total control even in video mode, the firmware update will include the following manual controls relating to the revitalization video:

* Ability to set the diaphragm;
* ISO Sensitivity: Auto, 100-6400 and H1;
* Shutter Speed 1 / 30 to 1 / 4000 second.

EOS 5D Mark II incorporates the ability to record movies in Full HD exploiting the capabilities of a 21.1 Megapixel sensor, opening a multitude of new possibilities for photojournalists and news photographers.

Selphy ES40 Canon Printer Speaker

Selphy ES40Canon has announced its first compact photo printer with voice guidance, the Selphy ED40, very easy to use and beautiful to see.

Selphy ES40 has a bright 3.5-inch LCD monitor tilted, a ring and large tactile buttons to provide quick and easy control of images and fast navigation of the menu.

Voice guidance also warns the user when the cartridge is exhausted.

The device comes equipped with self-correction of the images, in order to “fix” the flaws in the photos before printing correct the brightness and colors, removing red eyes and a variety of ailments, so you always have perfect pictures.

The Selphy ES40 also allows you to customize your photos and create colorful calendars, adding stamps, cartoons, clip art and art frames.

One of the most famous manufacturers of storage media has presented the new line of cards dedicated to professionals: SanDisk Extreme Pro.

The new memory cards for the first time reaches the speed of reading and writing of 90MB / s (they are twice as fast than the previous line of cards “Extreme IV”) by writing an algorithm that ensures uniform wear of the support of memory avoiding sudden tastes better.

But speed is not the only new thing: it was actually improved strength and reliability of these cards, because if it is true that it is important to capture an image is equally important not unpleasant malfunction of the card that they would lose the images.

New Releases – Adobe Lightroom 2.5 and Camera Raw 5.5

Adobe has released new versions of Photoshop Lightroom 2.5 and Camera Raw 5.5.
This update introduces RAW support for Canon 500D, Nikon D300s, Nikon D3000, Panasonic DMC-GF1 eOlympus E-P1. In addition to fixing small bugs, it also introduced a new algorithm for the cameras with a Bayer sensor.
